Raising Funds for Charity
As a business Treble Ace Events are committed to supporting Charity organisations and aim to raise funds through,” The Greatest Show in the Galaxy”, events.
To start our Charity drive we are going to donate £1 from each show entry ticket and divide that sum between the charitable organisations attending the Show. We will keep you posted here with other planned fundraising activities.
UK Garrison are attending The Greatest Show in the Galaxy. They will be patrolling the event throughout the day keeping you entertained.
In 2000, the 501st UK Garrison was created and has gone on to become the world’s largest and most accurate Star Wars costuming club ever seen. In the last ten years and with the express permission of George Lucas’ empire, Lucas Film, the 501st UK Garrison has helped raise over £1million for children’s charities, attended over 2,000 events, granted over 50 wishes for very special children and brought smiles to the faces of countless more. We take pride in our costumes, the characters we portray and the work we do. The 501st UK Garrison is a not-for-profit organisation. It is Lucasfilm’s preferred Imperial costuming group.
Max Appeal! is a UK registered charity supporting families affected by DiGeorge syndrome, VCFS and 22q11.2 deletion. We are proud for ‘Max Appeal’ to be one of Treble Ace’s nominated charities for the TGSITG in May.
Come and meet this friendly, interactive group of Doctor Who fans at TGSITG raising money for ‘Max Appeal’. With them they will have the Daleks.
Starbase 24 are an independant group of Star Trek fans, they meet up at events, including those that they run themselves. Their flagship event is the Starfleet/Klingon Banquet that since 2005, has raised over £8500 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Starbase 24 will be at TGSITG in their costumes – Klingon, Romulan, Vulcan and Federation Starfleet. They also have a Klingon throne, Picard’s chair and Kirk’s chair. What are they going to be doing at TGSITG …. Come along & visit their stand to find out!
STARFLEET – Region 20Region Twenty is one of 20 geographic regions within The International Star Trek Fan Association Inc. Each region is comprised of STARFLEET members and Ships or Space Stations known as chapters. Region 20 encompasses the geopolitical areas of the United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland, and all Surrounding Islands or IONA (Islands of the North Alantic)
Region 20 consists of both meeting chapters and online correspondence chapters. Many of these chapters take part in monthly meetings to discuss chapter business, and to plan chapter activities. Each chapter engages in their own Activities these can include online chats, movie nights, costuming, gaming, attending conventions, and fundraising for their chapter and selected charities.
Several times a year many of their Region 20 members come together at fan-run conventions or banquets, this allows the members to share ideas on chapter and regional issues and activities.
The Norwich Sci Fi Club are a group of individuals who through their love of Sci Fi, Film and Fantasy
help to raise funds for charity. 
With various costumes and props, they will be at TGSITG raising awareness for charities,
also helping to raise as much as they can for these charities. Come along and see them!
